Happy Saturday, lacrosse fans! Syracuse (3-0) made its first road trip of the season to College Park, Maryland to face the No. 9 Terrapins (1-1).
Maryland is the first ranked opponent of the season for SU, which played and won three games in its first week of head coach Gary Gait’s second season at the helm.
This is the first time the two programs have met in back-to-back seasons. The Terrapins beat the Orange 14-10 last year when they won the national championship. Maryland holds a 12-6 record in the series.
The Terrapins are coming off a 12-7 loss to Loyola. It was Maryland’s first loss since May 2021.
